whispers the o'er fraught heart and bids it break."
(william shakespeare)
On October 20, 2009, the day Cho departed this world, my o'er fraught heart was broken.
Cho was my big sweet "teddy bear". He came into my life a few months before I lost his grandsire, my beloved "Rio".
His happy go lucky personality, sense of humor and soulful expression pulled me through the grief.
He was always such an easy dog -- so laid back, easy to train and easy to live with. He was a favorite with kids because of his gentle nature and everyone loved his sweet expression and personality. When visitors came to my home to "meet the Breed" , more often than not after spending just a few minutes with Cho, they would exclaim, "I want one just like HIM". I lost him way too soon and will always feel I was robbed of so many years with a precious soul.
I see him every day in his granddaughter, my beloved Mia.
Cho did his share of winning in the show ring but what matters to me most is how Cho enriched my life. He was my best friend, not an ego trip. Now that he is gone, it is the memories of each moment spent with him, not ribbons or titles, but his personality, his smile, his soulful eyes and goofy antics which I cherish. He was a precious soulmate and a piece of my heart will always be with him.
Cho was bred very selectively. He sired only seven litters in seven years. He was bred exclusively to Champion dams with health clearances.
By passing on his stellar temperament, size and substance to his progeny he has made a significant contribution to the breed.
Cho was the *Top Producing GSMD Sire for 2008 (*produced the most Champions in a given year)
